Please join me to explore this ride posted on Dirty Free Hub. We will be on a 67 mile long, mixed-surface ride through sparsely populated country with few services. Half of the ride is unpaved. Each rider will need to be prepared for a full day without SAG, and perhaps some route finding. For that reason groups size will be limited. We will be riding off road at a B pace and on pavement D.

** Route description:
Explore the hills, rivers, and plains where Billy Chinook guided the likes of John Freemont and Kit Carson. Quiet roads with exceptional views of the Cascades and Lake Billy Chinook in the first half of the ride. And then, in the second half of the ride, bike past the ghost town cemetery of Grandview and through the National Grasslands.

** Difficulty
Intermediate / advanced. Due to distance and elevation gain. Also, a tricky descent of 1000 feet in 4 miles.

** The Start
Creekside City Park in Sisters, OR. Flush toilets and water across the foot bridge.

** Food / Water
(a) Water at the fire station at ~mile 40. (b) Food and water at Lake Chinook Village store. Just before mile 42, instead of turning right, continue on the pavement for another mile or so to Lake Chinook Village store (241 SW Jordan Rd / 541-420-3704).

Call Ben at 541.420.6246 if you have questions.
