Firecracker 100 Loop

A few COWs rode this year's Firecracker 100 this year, but it's such a fantastic route, I thought I'd put it up again so more can experience the joy.

Meet on the west side of the Crook County Court House, ready to ride at 8:00.

We'll head south out of town down the scenic Crooked River Canyon, then climb out past Bowman Dam and turn west on Reservoir Road, finding one of the most incredible views anywhere of the Cascade Range along the way. We'll meander past Alfalfa Store and turn north on Johnson Ranch road to Bresada Ranch. From there, it's a series of small side roads with no traffic and beautiful vistas. Eventually, we'll turn back to the east and take the short, fast dive on Hwy 126 back into Prineville.

Plan on gathering on Good Bike's patio for a sandwich (really good sandwich shop next door) and beverage after the ride.
