Backroads route from Cline Falls Park to Smith Rock Park

Bring a picnic lunch

Easy C ride. Relatively flat. From Cline Falls State Park on the Deschutes River, we head out east (briefly) on Hwy. 126 then north on SW 67th St. We will cruise N.E. on rural roads, crossing US 97 in Terrebonne on a scenic bike path route frequented by cyclists. 

We'll arrive at Smith Rock State Park (bathroom/water break) then head back on rural roads, crossing US 97 on Yucca / Pershall Rd. (this is an "at grade" highway crossing vs. an overpass crossing). Once back on the west side of 97, we'll ride on rural roads through farm land and cross Hwy. 126 back to Cline Falls State Park. (We can alternatively cross 97 on the Maple St. / Negus Way overpass, but we lose a lot of the beauty of the ride and the Pershall Rd. xing is pretty mellow.) 

Bring a picnic lunch to eat in the shade by the Deschutes River when we return to Cline Falls Park ... really beautiful.
