Progressive Tuesday 10
Tumalo Area
The tenth in a series of longer rides with the intent of increasing rider endurance. This is also the last ride before the Tour Des Chutes and a good primer for the 50 mile tour ride. Rides are every Tuesday and ride length will generally increase by about 5 to 10 miles a week.
This week’s ride is a 40 to 45 mile route that starts in Tumalo, north to Redmond, and loops back to Tumalo. The route affords us the opportunity to increase the distance based on rider’s interest.
The objective of the Progressive Tuesdays rides is to prepare riders for the longer rides like those associated with the Tour the De Chutes or the Firecracker 100. Rides will take place in the Tumalo, China Hat road, Sunriver/La Pine areas, and if interest supports, scenic bike rides like the Crooked River canyon or Sisters to Smith Rocks rides. These rides are a great way to increase endurance, learn about new ride routes, and enjoy the scenic beauty of rural of Oregon.
