North Star Multi-Surface

We will meet in Prineville for an 11 AM departure. Park on NE Court St., just south of Hwy 26 (across the street from Good Bike, Co.). 

This is a nice multi-surface ride (close to 50% hard pack / gravel) that is in great condition this spring. We'll exit town heading east on Hwy 26 along the reservoir and make our way into the Ochoco forest via Mill Creek where the asphalt ends and steady climbing begins. There is a total of 2400 feet of climbing, with the lions share through the forest. Understand that the same can be said for descending - mostly on non-paved surfaces. There's a good view of Steins Pillar along this route. 

We'll return to the pavement on McKay Creek and return to the start with 44 miles behind. Plan to spend 3 hours riding.
