Sunriver-Crane Prairie Loop

For this Central Oregon classic, we start at the Three Rivers School in Sunriver and head out for a clockwise loop to the Crane Prairie Reservoir "Resort," then back to Sisters.

The route is mostly flat-ish, with very gentle grades to Crane Prairie Reservoir. We'll stop to grab a refreshment and take in the sensational Cascade range views at the Crain Prairie Resort store, then take on the only significant climb of the day--a modest 400 foot grade. A quick descent follows, and then it's a few finishing miles of flat roads back to our starting point.
