Newcomers Welcome Ride

Ride Classification Leader  GPS My Ride
     A/10/Frequent Colin DuPlantis
Easy, casual ride intended for new riders or riders that have been out of the saddle for a while. Easy, friendly pace, open to questions about group riding skills or techniques and gear.

We'll meet at the 'Good Dog' parking lot off of Cascade Lakes Highway, about a half mile past Skyline Ranch Road and Entrada/Loge as you head towards Mt. Bachelor. The sign on Cascade Lakes Highway says 'Rimrock Trailhead', but most locals know it as Good Dog, the world's best off-leash dog park. We'll hop onto the new "Haul Trail" bike path and wander about 3 miles up to the Forest Service Visitor's Center. This is a beautiful, quiet, paved path that meanders through the forest, paralleling the highway. At the Visitor's Center, we'll can either turn back or grab a few extra miles down FR 41, another quiet roadway in the forest.

This will be an A-ride, at an A-pace -- specifically intended to be casual, friendly, and downright enjoyable. If you're new to cycling, just getting back into cycling, or working your way into better cycling shape, come on out and have some fun.
