We are starting this ride right from our tent on Wednesday, August 6. It is expected to be 90 degrees but there are lots of trees on the route. 51 miles and 4000 feet of gain, 35% gravel 65% paved - the paved section is on the Aufderheide, part of the Oregon Scenic Bikeways. We roll into Westfir around 25 miles in, a perfect halfway distance for a rest stop at the Westfir Lodge and Mountain Market.
